Why use a Child Specialist March 15, 2009 9:45am Child Specialists are trained to part of the collaborative team. They are a mental health professional who meets with the children. It is a way to give the children a voice in the process. The Child Specialist will also meet with the parents. The parents will hear what their childrens needs are, and how best to meet them.
